Junior high Ladycats end season at Pine Tree The junior high Ladycats finished their season on the road last Monday night against the Lady Pirates of Pine Tree. The night started early as the seventh grade "C" team began the night's competition. This match was a win for Whitehouse. The seventh grade "B" team followed the "C" game, but these girls were not able to pull out a win against the Lady Pirates. The seventh grade "A" team had a tough night as well. For the first time this year, they took a match to three games. They were unable to pull out a win, and this made the "A" team's first and only loss of the season. The Ladycats' eighth grade "B" team took a win on the night while the "A" team took yet another loss. "I'm going to miss these eighth-graders when they go on to high school. All the girls really worked hard this season, and I'm already looking forward to what is in store for us next year," stated Coach Shari Knight. "With this being a first time for seventh grade competition and our seventh-graders won the district championship, we've got some work to keep the title next year," said Coach Knight. |
