Fern Carr

Graveside services for Fern Carr, 73, of Whitehouse were held Nov. 8 at Cathedral in the Pines with Rev. Matthew McKellar officiating under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Mrs. Carr passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007 in Tyler.

She was born on Sept. 12, 1934 in Abilene to the late Dick and Jewel Presler Willis. She was an accomplished songwriter and gifted artist. She made her home in Tyler and her greatest gifts were to her children and family. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. C. "Billy" Carr, and brothers, Roy Willis and W. T. Willis.

She is survived by her daughters, Kim Carr-Morgan and Reda Lin Carr; son, Willis Brian Carr; grandchildren, Dolores Amber Freeze, Joshua Haden Freeze, Greyson Jeffery Carr and William Garek Carr; brothers, Billy Don Willis and Lonnie Willis; sisters, Dickie Haggard and Anita Dumas; other family members, Ken Morgan, Brenda Spangler-Carr, Darcy Pratt and Otis Freeze and numerous nieces and nephews.
