Mildred Pauline "Mini" Gimble
Mildred Pauline "Mini" Gimble, 89, of Tyler joined her beloved husband of 52 years, William Eff Gimble, on Nov. 9, 2007. She was born in Smith County on Dec. 30, 1917 to her late parents, Lemuel and Stella Smith.

Mrs. Gimble was preceded in death by two of her three brothers, George Smith of Tyler and Odis Smith of Chandler, and the youngest of her three daughters, Marsha Jones of Cleveland.

She is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Francis Smith of Tyler; sisterin law, Nell Smith of Fort Stockton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Lucille Gimble of Tyler, Jo Parker of Tyler, Gene Gimble of New Harmony, Johnny and Barbara Gimble of Dripping Springs, and Jerry and Gladys Gimble of Tyler.

Also missing her deeply are daughters and sons-in-law, Gwen and Jerry Stegall of Whitehouse, Jan and Jerry Viken of Tyler, and Jim Jones of Carthage.

Her loving grandchildren include Troy and Sally Cagle of Kyle, Lisa Burch, Amber Stegall and Tonya and Bob Lewis of Tyler, Misty Jones and Charlsi and Chris Neeley of Whitehouse, and Jessica Jones of Carthage.

She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, Logan, Lane, Lydia, Heath, Heather, Kelsi, Kaitlyn, and soon to be Cadence Pauline.

She was a fourth generation descendent of Caleb Smith and a devoted lifetime member of Bascom Methodist Church.

Services for Mrs. Gimble were held Nov. 12 in the chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home in Tyler with the Rev. Bob Waldman and Rev. Richard Luna officiating. Graveside services followed in Bascom Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Andy and Cliff Smith, Steve and Craig Smith, Jim McAdams and Lynn Parker.

Donations may be made to Bascom Methodist Church or Hospice of East Texas.
