Eugene Dewberry

Services for Eugene Dewberry, 73, of Tyler were held Nov. 10 at Sinclair Church of Christ, Troup, with Brother Ralph Kinnel officiating.

Burial was be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Flint, under direction of Hampton-Rollins Funeral Home, Troup.

Mr. Dewberry died Nov. 3, 2007 at a Tyler hospice.

He was born Nov. 7, 1933 in Flint to the late Richard Hampton and Lorene Dewberry. He attended Stanton schools and worked for Western Foundry and Tyler Pipe and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Dewberry.

Survivors include his wife, Jerlean Dewberry, Troup; sons, Roy Dewberry, N. Charleston, S.C., and Lester Dewberry, Overton; daughters, Linda F. Ray and Dorothy Dewberry, both of Troup, Elizabeth Ervin, Tyler, and Carrie Dewberry, Overton; brothers, Columbus Dewberry and Earl Greer, both of Troup; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two nieces; and other relatives.
