Tailgate party kicks off area championship game

Prior to the area championship game on Friday, Nov. 23 between the Whitehouse Wildcats and West Mesquite at Sam Parker Field in Mt. Pleasant, Wildcat fans are invited to attend a tailgate party planned from 5:30-7 p.m. The Cats will be the home team for this match-up which begins at 7:30 p.m.

Hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, cookies and drinks for all will be provided for Wildcat fans to pump up their energy and spirits to help the Cats win another playoff game.

Driving directions to Sam Parker Field are to come in on Hwy. 271, turn left at the light at Super One and take the 271 bypass. Go under I-30. Take a right onto Edwards. The stadium is on the left with the home side to the left (west). The tailgate party will be on the far west side of the home side parking lot.

Tickets at the stadium box office will be $7.

The tailgate party is hosted again this year by the First Baptist Church of Whitehouse.
