Whitehouse faces Dallas Skyline at UT-Tyler

The Whitehouse Wildcats, fresh off a 69-50 thrashing of Irving MacArthur in Irving, take on another class AAAAA opponent in Dallas Skyline.

The game will be played at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 on the campus of UT-Tyler in the 10th an- nual Burger King Classic.

The game was originally scheduled for Friday night but has been moved up due to the Whitehouse Wildcat football team's game Friday evening in Mount Pleasant.

"Our games in the Burger King are good games for the fans, and this way our fans will be able to attend the basketball game, and then drive to Mount Pleasant to watch our football team play," head coach Wally Dawkins notes.

The Wildcats return to Wildcat Arena on Tuesday. Nov. 27 to face Arp at 8 p.m.

JV takes title

The Whitehouse Wildcats JV boys basketball team won the championship of the Lufkin Hudson Tournament by knocking off Jasper 65-21, Lufkin 59- 50, Henderson 72-30, and Jacksonville 58-44.

The Wildcats were led by Justin Keller, Drew Flynn, Jud Jackson, and Justin Mayfield in the scoring department, while Reggie Wright, Blake Bishop, Jacob Hilburn, and Peton Smith contributed with rebounds, defense, and outside shooting.

The JV team, now 4-0 on the season, hosts Arp on Tuesday Nov. 27 at 6:30 PM.
