Ladycats down Hughes Springs The Ladycats went to 2-1 on the young season with a decisive win over Hughes Springs, 62-40. Whitehouse held a 33-16 lead at half and continued to outpace their opponents through the third quarter, led by Caroline Perrier who had 13 points, including three treys. The Ladycats were narrowly outscored in the fourth quarter, 15-13 in Hughes Springs' favor, but held on for the win. Other Whitehouse scorers were Shelly Williams with 8, Alicia Cordova 7, Rebecca Hanna 6, Alexa Fisher and Kaycee Renn 4, Kayla Mason and Jordan Knight 3, Haylee Aldridge 2 and Regan Hawkins 1. In the JV game, Whitehouse (2-1) won 31-14, and the freshmen also were victorious 23-9 to go to 3-0 on the year.. The Ladycats will host Palestine on Nov. 27. |
