Seventh-grade Lady Tigers defeat West Rusk, Arp
      The middle school Lady Tigers dominated West Rusk on Monday, with the seventh-graders winning 28-2 and the eighthgrade 31-18. The victories improve the seventh-grade record to 4-0 while the eighth-grade team evens out at 2-2.

Priest places 40th in half marathon
      The inaugural Tyler Half was held Saturday, Nov. 17 at the University of Texas at Tyler campus, benefiting the UTT cross country and track teams. The 278 runners, ranging in age from 12 to 72, hit the roads at 8 a.m. with perfect weather conditions.

Ladycats down Palestine, 69-29
      A pressure defense led to 28 steals, enabling the Ladycats to drop Palestine, 69-29, Tuesday night at home. Alicia Cordova paced the scoring with 19 points, followed by Caroline Perrier with 13, Becca Hanna and Kayla Mason each with 9, Jordan Knight 8 and Shelly Williams 6.

Softball parents meeting, benefit dinner Dec. 3
      An important meeting concerning the 2007- 08 Ladycat softball season is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Dec. 3 in the Whitehouse High School commons area and cafeteria, with a benefit dinner hosted by the Whitehouse Diamond Club immediately following.

Brownsboro nips Tigers, 68-47
      Troup's varsity boys basketball team lost 68-47 against Brownsboro Tuesday night. Reginald Wade scored 30 on the night, including five threepointers. Other top scorers were Der'rikk Thompson with 7, Charlie Ralph 6 (two treys), Cody Lepelley 6 and Terrance Franklin 2.

Ladycats fall to JT
      Heading into Tuesday's game with Palestine, the Ladycats evened their season record at 2-2 with a close road loss to John Tyler, 56-47, last week. The JV lost 38-30 (2-2). Despite a late surge, the team could not recover from a very cold third quarter, scoring just two points to John Tyler's 16.
