Billy J. Allen

ARP - Services for Billy J. Allen, 57, of Arp were held Nov. 21 at Rose Heights Church of God, Tyler, with the Rev. Bo Richardson officiating.

Burial was in Elkins Cemetery, Omen community, under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.

Mr. Allen died Nov. 19, 2007 in a Tyler hospital.

He was born Jan. 31, 1950 in Overton to the late Willie Samuel and Marie Hanson Allen. He was a lifelong resident of the Arp area, graduated from Arp High School and retired in September 2006 from Delek Refining in Tyler after 22 years. He was a member of Rose Heights Church of God in Tyler and was vice president of Arp Youth Sports Association.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Robyn Womack Allen, Arp; sons, Mat Allen, Whitehouse, and William Allen, Arp; daughters, Toni Laird and Gena Allen, both of Arp; brother, Sammy Allen, Arp; and seven grandchildren.
