Janet Tomlin

Memorial services for Janet Tomlin, 58, of Tyler were held Nov. 21 at Marvin United Methodist Church with the Rev. Doug Baker officiating.

Private burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home, Tyler.

Ms. Tomlin died Nov. 19, 2007 at her residence.

She was born Dec. 25, 1948 in Gainesville to Alba Robert and Jo Ann Stewart Murdoch. She grew up in Tyler and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1966 and from Tyler Junior College. She attended North Texas State University and Texas A&M University. She retired in June 2004 as a bank teller from Southside Bank after 23 years of service. She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Murdoch.

Survivors include daughter, Melissa Eeds, Whitehouse; mother, Jo Ann Murdoch, Tyler; sister, Dianne Cavazos, Humble; and three grandchildren.
