WH family takes part in National Adoption Day
      TYLER - Local efforts corresponding to National Adoption Day took place recently, with a celebration at the Caldwell Zoo Pavilion in Tyler. After finalizing adoptions at the cour thouse, the Smith County Young Lawyers Association (SCYLA) hosted a celebration for area adoptive families.

WH library hosting hayride
      The Whitehouse Community Library is preparing for its fourth annual Hayride with Santa event, scheduled Saturday, Dec. 15. The evening will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a story read by librar y director Sandra Knackstedt. Next, a few practice tunes will be sung before the hayride begins.
