New storm siren system should be installed Dec. 10

Acoustic Technology, Inc will have their tech back in Whitehouse the week of Dec. 10 finalizing installation and testing the new emergency warning system.

City Manager Ronny Fite said that during this time, citizens should be alerted that audible tests will be done. They should not alarmed when they hear the sirens or any messages broadcast over the new system during the testing.

The new system includes sirens located at State Highway 110 and Walker, West Main and Maji Road, East Main and Senter, East Main and Business Park Drive and on State Highway 110 at Cain Elementary.

The omni directional system from ATI is battery powered at the sites charged by solar panels mounted to the concrete poles.
