Betty Mallard Conklin

Services for Betty Mallard Conklin, 53, of Whitehouse were held on Dec. 1 at Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler with Dr. Michael Massar officiating.

Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Mrs. Conklin passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.

She was born on Dec. 9, 1953 in Tyler to the late Arch Richard and Mary Edwards Mallard. She was raised in Tyler and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. Mrs. Conklin was a homemaker and a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tyler.

Mrs. Conklin is survived by a loving family including two daughters, Christy Conklin of Tyler, and Carrie Dudley and husband Phillip of Henderson; a son, Charles Conklin and wife Amy of Chandler; a sister, Mary Mallard of Hideaway; a brother, Dick Mallard and wife Nancy of San Marcos; grandchildren, Lauren, Destiny, Justiss, Kylie, Cortney and Jordon; and several nephews.

Pallbearers were Rick Stripling, Travis Stripling, Ronnie Bledsoe, Matthew Smith, Shon Coxe and Lance Conklin. Honorary pallbearers will be David Woodward and Employees of NDS.
