Ray and Gertrude Arkelin will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Dec. 12. They were married in the Methodist church in Ontonagon, Mich., on Dec. 12, 1947 after meeting in Tyler. The Arkelins have two children, Mike Arkelin of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Cathy Dintelman of Whitehouse. They also have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
