Troup senior semifinalist at Miss Texas Teen USA

After the Miss Texas Teen USA pageant, Amanda Margraves poses with proud grandmother Jo Haile of Whitehouse and displays her Top 15 semifinalist plaque.

Reigning Troup High School homecoming queen Amanda Margraves participated in the Miss Texas Teen USA pageant and finished as a Top 15 semifinalist.

Competing with 134 other girls from across the state, Amanda wore the title of Miss Troup Teen USA.

This was her fourth pageant. Earlier this year she placed first runner-up in the Miss Tyler Teen USA contest, improving over third runner-up in 2006 (when she also was named Most Photogenic). Amanda also participated in the Miss Texas Teen USA pageant in 2006.

The pageant was held Nov. 24-25 at the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel.
