Ladycats down Mavs, 58-51

MARSHALL - Whitehouse shut down Marshall in the fourth quarter, allowing just five points, to win its district opener.

Caroline Perrier led the way with 19 points, hitting five 3- pointers in the contest, and Alicia Cordova added 15.

Whitehouse is now 13-3 on the year.

In the JV game, Whitehouse defeated Marshall in overtime, 34-32. Leading scorer was Deshante Thomas with 12 points.

The JV season record is 6-7, and the district record is 1-0.
