Ladycat teams place at JT tourney

The Whitehouse junior varsity girls team claimed fourth place in the John Tyler Tournament last week, while the freshmen finished third.

The JV dominated their first opponent, Chapel Hill, to win 35-9.

Despite the promising start, the team lost its next two outings, falling to John Tyler 34-27 and Sulphur Springs 42-22.

The JV had a 5-7 record through the tournament.

The freshman Ladycats opened with a win over Hallsville, 30-13. In game two, they faced a tough John Tyler team and lost, 19-11.

Fighting for third place, the Ladycats pulled out a 43-37 win over Robert E. Lee.
