The Whitehouse freshman basketball team went undefeated in four games last weekend to claim the championship of the Longview Dr Pepper JV/Freshman Tournament.

Trey Metoyer had the hot hand for the Wildcats as he poured in 30 points in the win. Quincy Aldridge had 16 for the Cats while Conner Cashion added 10.

The Wildcats came out sluggish in their second game against John Tyler and saw a 22-13 lead at the half cut to 35-34 headed into the final quarter.

However, Metoyer and Aldridge would heat up in the final quarter to lead the Wildcats to a 54-46 win. John Tyler fought hard but could not overcome Metoyer's 19 points and Aldridge's 15 points in the win.

The win against John Tyler put the Wildcats into the semifinals against Texas High. Cashion poured in 14 points of his game high 21 points in the first half as the Cats outscored Texas High in each quarter on their way to a 69-47 win.

Aldridge and Metoyer also got into double digits in points with 17 and 15, respectively.

The Wildcats made their final trip to Longview on Saturday as they faced the Lobos' "A" in the tournament championship.

The Cats saved their best game of the tournament for the last as Aldridge and Metoyer hit for 20 points each and Cashion poured in 17 as Whitehouse built a 45-19 lead at the half and cruised to a 73-46 win.
