Texas East gymnast places 5th all around

Texas East Gymnastics is extremely proud of Danica Abanto who competed last weekend at the Level 5 North State Championships in Mesquite. Her scores are as follows: vault, fifth place, 9.15; bars, sixth place, 9.00; beam, 11th place, 9.10; floor exercise, 15th place, 8.45; and all around, fifth place, 35.70.

"We at Texas East look forward to seeing the progress of this dynamite gymnast wrapped up in a tiny package," said coach Martin Parsley.

Abanto and her teammates will compete in the upcoming Rose City Classic on March 8-9 at the UT Tyler Patriot Center.
