Whitehouse 4-H Club hosting Rabbit Clinic

The Whitehouse 4-H club is hosting its 4th annual Show Rabbit Clinic on Jan. 12, 2008. The event will be held at the Smith County Extension office auditorium, located in the Cotton Belt Building at 1517 W. Front St. in Tyler from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Clinic topics will include selection, care, breeding, health, and showmanship of market and breeding rabbits. Guest speakers will include Logan Nichols, Texas A&M University student; April Reeves, Texas A&M veterinary medicine student; and Pam Heaton of Heaton Rabbitry in Huntsville.

Registration is open to all interested youth and their parents. Registration is $5 per person. Seating is limited, so call the Smith County Extension office at 903-590-2980 for reservations.

4-H serves all youth regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
