Whitehouse library activities

WH Recycle Center

Regular hours of operation for the Whitehouse Recycle Center are on Wednesdays from 7-10 a.m. and 3:30-5 p.m. as well as the first and third Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. Bring your recyclable paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. The Recycle Center is located on Railroad Ave.

Women's health seminar offered

"Finding Balance" is a seminar on women's health issues begin offered free of charge on Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. at Health Plus, 2010 Sybil Ln., Tyler. Facilitator is Brenda Flowers RN.

VFW Post 1799 open daily

VFW Post 1799 on Rhone Quarter Road opens daily at 2:30 p.m. for members and guests. Each day offers a different activity such as competitive pool, karaoke and social hour. For information visit WWW.vfw1799.org or call 903-561-3501.

Brown Elementary parents meeting

An organizational meeting for Brown Elementary parents interested in participating in parent organizations and acitivities will be 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 25 in the Brown Elementary cafeteria.

WH Prom meeting

Junior parents are still needed to help with WHS prom. Come Friday, May 16, 3-9 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. to decorate.

Tiger band fund-raiser May 22

"Taste of the Tiger Band Fund-raising Supper" will be 5 p.m. Thursday, May 22 in the Troup High School cafeteria. Tickets are 5 p.m. The THS band concert will follow at 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 903-842-4633 or 903-842-4083.
