Cynthia Mead Blackman

OVERTON - Services for Cynthia Mead Blackman, 50, of Overton, were held June 17 at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home with the Rev. Linda Owens officiating.

Burial was at Elkins Cemetery near Arp.

Mrs. Blackman died June 12, 2008 in an Overton nursing home.

She was born June 14, 1957 in Livingston to the late John Van and Bernice Marie Franklin. She moved from Gladewater to Overton five years ago and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of five years, Richard Allen Blackman, Overton; sons, John "Freddie" Mead, Tyler, Jonathan "Nathan" Mead, Whitehouse, and Joel "Dougie" Mead, Rocksprings, Wyo.; daughters, Pamela Moody, Rocksprings, Wyo., and Heather Mead, Tyler; brothers, John Boyd Franklin, Tyler, Jackie Franklin, Longview, and Brad Franklin, Arp; sisters, Marilyn Richey, New Diana, Glenda Shelton, Tyler, and Beverly Ahner, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
