WH Recycle Center open

Regular hours of operation for the Whitehouse Recycle Center are on Wednesdays from 7-10 a.m. and 3:30-5 p.m. as well as the first and third Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. Bring your recyclable paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. The Recycle Center is located on Railroad Ave.

Bascom UMC hosts breakfast

The Bascom United Methodist Church on FM 848 hosts breakfast the last Saturday of the month from 8:30 -10 a.m. A full breakfast meal is served and donations are accepted.

Vendors sought for Fall Fest

Organizers are seeking vendors who sell homemade/handmade goods or any other items of interest for the craft fair part of Fall Fest '08 at the Whitehouse First Assembly of God Church set for Saturday, Oct. 18. To set up a vendor booth contact Angie at 903-530-8111 by Oct. 4.

Mt. Carmel continues 40 Days of Community

Mt. Carmel Baptist Church continues 40 Days of Community. This program moves people from focusing on God's purposes in their personal lives to focusing on God's purposes in their church and community. For information on this event call 903-839-2606.

Prince of Peace classes ongoing

THS reunion set

The class of 1998 of Troup High School will meet at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26 at the homecoming football game at Tiger Stadium and again the following evening at the Potpourri House in Tyler for dinner at 7 p.m. Contact Denise Harned at 903-360-6407 to RSVP.

Troup Band Boosters hold sale

Troup Band Boosters will hold a garage sale and bake sale on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 7 a.m. until it's all gone at the old bank building at the four-way stop in Troup. The bake sale will be packed with homemade goodies and lots of great deals offered in the garage sale.
