AARP safety course Jan. 7-8

An AARP Driver Safety Course is scheduled for Jan. 7- 8 from 1-5 p.m. and again on Jan. 14-15 in Tyler.

This refresher course is designed for people 50 and older. Membership in the AARP is not required.

The course covers topics such as effects of aging and medication on driving skills, driving rules and crash prevention.

The fee is $10 per person. Those who complete the course will receive a certificate and may be eligible for a discount on their automobile insurance. The instructors for these courses are AARP trained volunteers.
