Peggy Ewing Haydon

Services for Peggy Ewing Haydon, 78, of Dallas, mother of a Whitehouse resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3 at Laurel Land Funeral Home, Dallas, with the Rev. Truesdell officiating. Burial will be in The Garden of Prayer cemetery.

Mrs. Haydon died Dec. 14, 2007 at her residence.

She was born April 4, 1929, in Shawnee, Okla., to the late Jesse and Mary Reynolds Ewing. The family moved to Dallas, where she graduated from Adamson High School in 1946 and from The University of Texas at Arlington. Most of her life, she worked in real estate and property management from which she never completely retired. She was a member of Tyler Street Methodist Church in Dallas for 71 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of four years, Don Richard Haydon.

Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Haydon Casey, Whitehouse; sister, Barbara Drummond, Las Colinas; two granddaughters; a niece and nephew.

If desired, memorials may be made to Tyler Street Methodist Church, Dallas, or the Dallas Public Library.
