Margie Mae Pond

Services for Margie Mae Pond, 98, of Whitehouse were held Dec. 31 at Autry Funeral Home chapel, Jacksonville, with Chaplain Henry Dial officiating. Burial was in New Emmaus Cemetery.

Mrs. Pond died Dec. 23, 2007.

She was born Oct. 4, 1909 to Hiram Clifton Brown and Wilimina Brown. She was a homemaker and caregiver, and lived most of her adult life in the community of Concord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Pond, and brother, Leon Brown.

Survivors include daughters, Thelma Dain Senter, Granbury, and JoAnn Stuart, Whitehouse; son, Ernest Pond Jr., Troup; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 36 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons, Gerald Senter, Dean Senter, Erik Pond, Jimmy Stuart, Steven Stuart, Kris Senter, Craig Stuart and Drew Kelly.
