ROUNTREE RACES TO THE TOP

Zachary Rountree recently placed fifth overall in the 50cc Amateur for the 2006- 07 season. He started riding motorcycles when he was five years old. His first race was in Jacksonville when he was six. This is his second year racing in the Texas Cross Country Racing Association (TCCRA) series. His first year, Zachary had four top-10 finishes, and this year he had seven top-five finishes out of a 13- race season. He also qualified for the "Smart Racer" award in 2006 and won second place in 2007. This award is based upon his academics in school. He is the son of Craig and Betsy Rountree of Whitehouse and brother of Preston.
