Clovis Deck

Services for Clovis Deck, 88, of Tyler were held Jan. 3 at the Cottle Funeral Home chapel, Troup with the Reverend Mike Martin officiating. Burial was in the Rucker Cemetery, Troup.

Mrs. Deck died Dec. 31, at her residence.

She was born June 4, 1919 in Hope, Ark. to the late Wesley H. and Ollie Freeman Maxwell.

Mrs. Deck had been a resident of Tyler since 1956. She was a member of the Tyler Christian Church.

She married Glenn R. Deck, June 27, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1971.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Clarence Maxwell, Ernest Maxwell, Vestal Maxwell and Horace Maxwell.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Mary Deck, Whitehouse, and Gary and Barbara Deck, Tyler; a sister, Esther McLain, Gladewater; grandchildren, Robert S. Deck, Kerry Deck, Jefferey Deck, Darrin Deck, Courtney L. Holder; great-grandchildren, Tristan Deck, Jordan Deck, Garrett Deck, Micah Deck, Kaden Deck, Katherine Deck, Hudson Deck, Anna Kate Deck, Savannah Holder, Jared Deck, and Logan Deck; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Robert S. Deck, Kerry Deck, Jeffery Deck, Darrin Deck, Robert Holder, and Rick Daniels.
