Whitehouse won its first District 14-4A game of the year, 2- 0, against Marshall Tuesday.

Payne Stinchfield scored on Julio Alleman assist in the 22nd minute of the first half, and then Tanner Hays scored on an assist by Mitchell Muller in the second half with three minutes to play.

Colton Strother was in goal to preserve the shutout.

Whitehouse improved to 3- 2-3 on the season and 1-0 in dis- trict play. Whitehouse will host Kilgore at 7 p.m. Friday.

Girls JV downs Mavs

The girls junior varsity Ladycat team scored a big win over Marshall in their district opener.

The Ladycats prevailed 7-1, with Danielle Sillman leading the way with 3 goals. Devin Farr, Megan Perry, Bethany Peek and Stephanie Barrigan all had goals.
