Henderson falls in early scrimmage

The varsity Ladycat soccer team opened their season on Jan. 8 with a win over Henderson.
The first score was made early in the game with a breakaway by Lindsey Pritchard.
The girls continued to dominate and maintained play on the Henderson end of the field throughout the rest of the first half. Pritchard scored a second goal off a penalty kick that was taken by Brittany Millican to end the half with a 2-0 score.
The second half started with Whitehouse continuing to knock on the Henderson goal with 11 kicks on goal to Henderson's four. Late in the game, Maddie Phoenix from Henderson placed a beautiful kick deep into the box.
Despite the score, Whitehouse earned a decisive 2-1 win to start the year.
