Tigers earn All District placements

Members of the Troup All District offensive team are (above, left to right) Jared Ayres, Reginald Wade, Thacher Riddle, C.J. Deason and Jeremy Richardson. Pictured below are the All District defensive picks, including Rony Johnson, Reginald Wade, Thacher Riddle, Jeremy Richardson, Taylor Beaty, Cody Lepelley and Max Switzer. Richardson, Johnson, Switzer and Chris Lepelley (not pictured) received honorable mention status.

Playing in one of the state's toughest district's, the Troup Tigers placed 11 players on the All District team for District 19- 2A.

Receiving first team offensive honors were running back Thacher Riddle and center Jared Ayres.

Riddle was also named first team defense as an inside linebacker, along with outside linebacker Joseph Noyola.

Named to the second team offense were running back Reginald Wade and guard C.J. Deason. Wade also made second team defense as a defensive end, joining tackle Chris Lepelley.

Taylor Beaty earned first team honors as a utility player.
