Boys falter at Pine Tree

The Wildcat varsity soccer team faced stiff competition at the Pine Tree Tournament last week.
The team finished 1-2-1, with head coach Chris Clemons singling out goalie Colton Strother for an outstanding overall performance.
The Wildcats defeated Pleasant Grove, 3-0, in the team's lone win. Julio Alleman, Mitchell Muller and Payne Stinchfield scored goals.
The two losses were to Nacogdoches, 2-0, and Sulphur Springs, 1-0.
Alleman scored for Whitehouse in its 1-all tie with Diboll.
The junior varsity Wildcats are in the Pine Tree JV Tournament Jan. 17-19.
Both JV and varsity wil be in action Friday as the Cats host Kilgore in a district matchup. The JV begins at 5:30 p.m.
