James Oliver Brown

Memorial services for James Oliver Brown, 73, of Troup are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at Whitehouse First Assembly of God with Pastor Michael Flemming officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler.

Mr. Brown died Jan. 10, 2008, in Tyler.

He was born Dec. 30, 1934, in Whitehouse to the late James Abner and Imogene Beatrice Pierson Brown. He was a lifelong resident of the Tyler area, served in the Marine Corps, and was a painting contractor.

Survivors include daughters, Suzette René Kinser, Troup, Carol Ann Goforth, Lisa Kay Windland and Jamie Ornette; son, James Oliver Brown II; and sister, Dorothy Warren, Ohio.
