Shane Giffin

Services for Shane Giffin, 28, of Troup were held Jan. 21 at Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Troup with the Rev. Duane Dougherty officiating.

Burial was in Concord Cemetery under direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Mr. Giffin died Jan. 17, 2008 in Lafayette, La.

He was born Feb. 8, 1979 in Henderson. He was a 1997 graduate of Carlisle High School, had worked as a pharmacy tech and a coil tubing supervisor and was currently employed by Baker-Hughes Companies. He attended Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia Clark, and uncle, Alan Giffin.

Survivors include his wife, Krystal Hawkins Giffin, Troup; daughter, Kalynn Giffin, Troup; mother, Janice Wilkerson, Troup; father, Jamie Wilkerson, Troup; sister, Devon Simmons, Troup; greatgrandmother, Nelwyn Clark, Henderson; one niece and nephew and other relatives.

Pallbearers were Brandon Sanders, Phillip Hawkins, Brian Norman, Dewayne Wilkerson, Scott Martin, George Winn, Mike Pilkerton and Ryan Henson.
