Ladycats overpower Kilgore, Pine Tree

Lady Cats blanks Kilgore

The Whitehouse girls soccer program continued its winning tradition with district wins over Kilgore and Pine Tree. The Ladycat varsity moves to 3-0 and 6-1 on the season.

Whitehouse blanked Kilgore 4-0 on Friday night in inclement weather.

Elise Dollhite opened the scoring barrage in the first half, scoring on Heather Lofties' assist

In the second half, Lindsay Pritchard scored two goals assisted by Lofties. The fourth and final goal was netted by Kelli Hill on an assist by Brittany Gonzales.

Lady Cat shuts down

Pine Tree Whitehouse hosted Pine Tree Tuesday night at 7:30. Pine Tree came out shooting with the first and only goal of the half scored by Carolyn Leatherman nine minutes in the game.

Whitehouse made 13 attempts on goal to Pine Tree's 9 attempts but neither team could find the back of the net. The half ended with Pine Tree leading Whitehouse 1-0.

The second half began with Lindsay Pritchard dropping the ball into the goal but it was bobbled and dropped by the goalie. Brittany Gonzales followed the ball into the goal and made contact with the back of the net.

Kayla Zambrano scored the second goal for Whitehouse from a beautiful cross by Kelli Hill.

The final goal of the evening was scored by Lofites assisted by Pritchard.

The Ladycats host Eustace on Friday night at 6pm.
