Riders receive recognition at BCXR's annual awards dinner

Daryl and Amy Hardaway were honored as the "Horse Persons of the Year" during the 12th Annual BCXR Horse Center Awards Banquet Saturday.

"This is one of the awards that means the most to me," owner Colleen Snyder said. "Daryl and his wife, Amy, have done so much for every one of our shows."

Snyder and daughter Sarah Thomas, barn manager, honored riders who competed in eventing, which includes jumping, cross country and dressage. Riders were also awarded medals based on points earned throughout the year.

The award winners include:

12 & Under - Gold: Josie Lassen; Silver: Olivia Baker; Bronze: Anna Hutto, Samantha Morgan.

12 & Over - Gold: Kaylene Fedor; Silver: Lindsay Hill, Erin Bynam; Bronze: Erica Lassen.

Owners - Gold: Holli Bushnel; Silver: Mary Lauren Shelton; Bronze: Ashley Kotzur.

Adults - Gold: Bethany Richardson; Silver: Gay Corbel; Bronze: Caroline Huffman.

Cross Rails - Olivia Baker, Gay Corbel, Lauren Fisher, Ally Telscher, Amber Telscher

Hunter 2' - Kailene Fedor, Cassidy Hammer, Josie Lassen, Bethany Richardson, Mary Lauren Shelton, Morgan Worthington
