Dan Norman

Services for Dan Norman, 69, of Whitehouse, formerly of Troup, were held Jan. 26 at Henry's Chapel United Methodist Church near Troup with the Revs. David Goodwin and Mike Cline officiating.

Burial was in Knoxville Cemetery near Troup under direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Mr. Norman died Jan. 22, 2008 in a Tyler hospital.

He was born Feb. 22, 1938 in Jacksonville to the late James Wilmer and Mollie Eugenia McLendon Norman. He was a lifelong resident of the Troup area. He served in the Army and worked for Bob Waters Construction of Whitehouse for 40 years and lived in Whitehouse for the last 3 1/2 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mazie Norman, Whitehouse; sons, Jeff Pool and Stephen Colby Flowers, both of Whitehouse; daughter, Ashley Miller, Tyler; brother, Mac Norman, Whitehouse; sister, Louise N. Conner, Tyler; two grandchildren; five nephews; and one niece.

Pallbearers were Tim Boyd, M.J. Florence, Wes Barron, Jim Norman, Charles Norman, Melvin Lacy, Jerry Glenn Lacy and Jake Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Ragsdale, Bob Waters and employees of Bob Waters Construction.
