JV drops first district game to Bulldogs

The Whitehouse JV traveled to Kilgore last Tuesday and continued their district run by defeating the Bulldogs 59-48. Skip Caldwell led a balanced scoring attack with 14 points followed closely by Justin Keller and Drew Flynn with 11 each and Judd Jackson with 10.

Unfortunately, the unbeaten district record would get tarnished Friday night at home as the visiting Indians from Jacksonville took home a hard fought 46-43 win. Jackson had the hot hand on the night and led the Cats with 19 points while Flynn added 11, Keller had 8 and Logan Taylor had 5 in the loss.

The loss to Jacksonville was the Wildcats' first district loss of the year. Their record now stands at 8-1 in district play and 26- 2 for the season.
