Freshmen scalp Indians

The Whitehouse freshman boys basketball team continued to roll through their district schedule as they picked up a road win at Kilgore this past Tuesday before scalping the Jacksonville Indians at Wildcat Arena Friday.

In the Kilgore game, Quincy Aldridge and Trey Metoyer provided a strong 1-2 scoring punch with 24 and 18 points, respectively, as the Wildcats blew out the Bulldogs 65-23. Conner Cashion and Ryan Speake provided scoring support with 9 and 8 points, respectively in the win.

The Wildcats then came home last Friday night to take on the visiting Indians. Metoyer headed the scoring punch for a short-handed squad with 31 points as Cashion, Speake, and Terrance Franklin each poured in 8 points each in a 53-31 win.

With the two wins, the freshman moved their season record to 20-2 and remained spotless for district play at 9-0. They will return to action as they travel to Hallsville tomorrow night to take on the Bobcats.
