TMS boys sweep Bears

Both Troup's boys teams nabbed wins in last Thursday's junior high basketball matchups.

The seventh-graders totally dominated Timpson en route to a 38-2 victory. The Tigers had a balanced scoring attack, led by Seth Gibson's 8 points and Hunter Clark's 7.

Other scorers were Quitin Green and De'andre Allen with 6 each, Wesley Thompson 4, Kody Welch 3, Michael Davis 2 and Bradley Stewart 1.

Kirby Lyon had a game-high 18 points in the eighth grade contest. He and teammate Carson Clark, who added 17 points, led the Tigers to a convincing 44-23 win.

Other scorers were Josh Nelson with 4, Dillon Fulton 3 and Cory Jones 2.
