Elysian Fields grabbed a 19- 9 first quarter lead and never looked back as they defeated the visiting Tigers.

Reginald Wade led Troup with 11 points, followed by Nick Reeves with 8, including two 3- pointers.

Jeremy Richardson added 6.

Troup (2-9) will host Timpson Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Elysian Fields 28

Janna Ross and Niecy Stewart led Troup to a 36-28 win on the road, improving their district mark to 7-5.

A trio of Lady Tigers -- Stasinie Hunter, Casey Smith and Lauren Fite -- added 2 each.

Troup's first quarter 12-3 lead helped them hold off a late charge by Elysian Fields.

The Tiger JV lost to Elysian Fields despite a great defensive effort by Dalvin Franklin.

Leading scorers were Cody Hefner with 9 and Chris Malone with 7.

The Ladycat JV improved to 2-1 in district by shutting out the Lady Bulldogs. Stephanie Barrigan score 3 goals, and Stephanie Evans and Danielle Sillman each scored one.

Mallor y Smith scored 2 goals, with Lindsay Pritchard and Brittany Gonzalez each adding 1.

The Ladycats improve to 5-0 in district play.
