Megan Brady sings with Grayson

Megan Brady
Whitehouse High School senior Megan Brady has signed a softball scholarship to play for the Lady Vikings at Grayson County College in Denison.

Grayson is a member of the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference along with Temple, McLennon, Hill, Cisco, Ranger, North Central Texas, and Vernon.

Brady catches for the Ladycats of Whitehouse, where she has been on varsity all four years and earned hon- orable mention Designated Hitter, honorable mention Infielder, honorable mention All East Texas Elite Team, and All District Utility Player of the Year.

Brady started playing select ball at the age of 9. She has been a member of the Texas Slammers, Ringors, East Texas Blast, and Paris Thunder. While a member of those teams, she helped to win numerous state championships as well as a national championship in 2007.

Megan would like to thank the following people for their help with her success in softball: Derryl Mallard (Texas Slammers coach), Robert Gray (Whitehouse Ice coach), Robby Huddleston (hitting coach), as well as her high school coaches Alicia Crawford and Adam Cook and former coach Eddy May.

Brady is excited about continuing her softball career at Grayson on the way to achieving her long term goal of becoming a teacher.
