Jimmy Green

Funeral services for Jimmy Green, 79, of Tyler were held Feb. 6 at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Byrd officiating.

Burial was at Bascom Cemetery.

Mr. Green died Feb. 3, 2008 in a Tyler Hospice facility.

He was born June 4, 1928 in Whitehouse to the late J. L. and Maggie Green. He retired from Tyler Mirror and Glass, was a member of University Christian Church, served in the Navy during WW II and had lived in the East Texas area all of his life.

Mr. Green is preceded in death by his wife, Jan Green, and one daughter, Donna Green.

He is survived by two sons, Buster and Allen Green, both of Tyler; one brother, Ray Green of Tyler; one sister, Joyce Malone of Tyler; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
