Gloria Reid Hightower Drennan

Memorial services for Gloria Reid Hightower Drennan, 83, of Tyler were held Feb. 1 at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Powell officiating.

Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Drennan died Jan. 29, 2008 at a Tyler hospice.

She was born April 22, 1924 in Navarro County to the late Russell and Ethel Threet Reid. She grew up in East Texas and graduated from Arp High School. She had lived in Troup, Corsicana and Henderson, where she was co-owner/operator of Drennan-Murphy Brothers Furniture Store for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of Green Acres Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Jack M. Hightower and L. G. Drennan; daughter, Janice Hightower Fincke; and stepson, Steve Drennan.

Survivors include daughter, Debbie Townsend, Tyler; stepdaughter, Georgeanna Tamaro, Allen; stepson, Dave Drennan, Denison; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
