First Ladies officers win awards
Preparations under way for Spring Spectacular

Annual dance event scheduled Feb. 18

Congratulations to the First Ladies officers. They competed at Bowie High School in Austin this past weekend and put Whitehouse on the map.

The First Ladies officers were named to the "Winner's Circle" and they won second place overall as they competed against mostly 5A schools, many from the Houston and Austin area. They also won "Best in Class" in the large team division.

They received a "Choreography Award" for all three routines and received an award for "Best Technique."

They received the "Super Sweepstakes" honor as they received all 90s and above (out of a 100) on every routine from each judge.

The First Ladies are under the direction of Shelly Johnston.

The community is invited to attend their Spring Spectacular Show to see the award-winning officer routines, as well as routines by the First Ladies and various Whitehouse High School dance classes.

The Spring Spectacular will be held on Monday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Whitehouse High School Arena. Tickets will be available the evening of the show.
