R.E. Rawlinson

JACKSONVILLE - Graveside services for R.E. Rawlinson, 88, of Jacksonville were held Feb. 7 at McDonald Cemetery, New Summerfield, with the Rev. Donny Sadler officiating. Arrangements are with Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Mr. Rawlinson died Feb. 4, 2008 in Jacksonville.

He was born Nov. 11, 1919 in Maydelle to the late Walt and Buna Rawlinson. He served in the Army during World War II, and retired as a brick contractor from General Refractories in Troup. He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudie Dee Rawlinson; sons, Randy Lynn Rawlinson and Joe Frank Rawlinson; and daughter, Cynthia Littlejohn.

Survivors include son, Jimmy Rawlinson, New Summerfield; sister, Betty Lou Chanell, Cushing; five grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and other relatives.
