Donald Lee Thorn

Services for Donald Lee Thorn, 72, of Tyler were held Feb. 13 in the chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with Rev. Don Stanley officiating. Burial was in the Williams Cemetery.

Mr. Thorn died Feb. 10, 2008 in Tyler.

He was born Oct. 1, 1935 in Tyler to the late Odis Lee and Lillie Mae Staples Thorn. Mr. Thorn was self-employed in the used oil field equipment and cattle business.

He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.

He is survived by sons, Ricky Thorn and wife Laurel of Arp and Victor Thorn of Arp; grandsons, Ross and Reed Thorn; brothers, Douglas Thorn of Tyler, Doyle Thorn of Arp and Dean Thorn of Whitehouse.

Pallbearers were Brian Thorn, Gary Thorn, Charles Tate, Terry Tate, Joe Rasberry and John Rasberry.

Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Tate, Pete Garrett and Don Porter.
