All-District and All-State selection Bart Henderson has signed a letter of intent to play for TJC next year.
Henderson joined a group of Wildcats who inked with their respective colleges last Wednesday in committing to Tyler Junior College on Tuesday.
The wide receiver set school records in receptions, yards and touchdowns his senior year.
"We're very excited that Bart will get the opportunity to continue playing and further his education," said head coach and athletic director Randy McFarlin, adding that Henderson had offers from Blinn, Trinity Valley and ETBU. "I think he will be an immediate impact player at TJC."
After a breakthrough senior year, McFarlin said Henderson was getting attention somewhat late in the recruiting process, but he expected to see him signing with a larger school after TJC. "Bart has the potential to be a big-time receiver," said McFarlin.
