Troup students celebrating FFA week, preparing for events
Houston Livestock Show March 2-22
      Troup FFA is celebrating National FFA week through Feb. 23. Students are encouraged to show their FFA spirit by wearing national blue and corn gold on Friday, according to Renee Williams, FFA instructor. The students have also been working hard to prepare for state and local shows.

TMS sets community book fair Feb. 25-29
      Students from Troup Middle School will host a special book fair from Scholastic to help raise funds for purchasing new library books for Troup Middle School library. The book fair, called the "Exchange," is set for Monday- Friday, Feb. 25-29 from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Wildcat Band members earn 70 Superior ratings
      Congratulations to the following Wildcat Band students who won superior ratings at the Region 21 UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest at Stephen F. Austin this past weekend. There were 100 participating WHS band students that won 70 superior ratings and 39 excellent ratings.
