TYA registration ends Feb. 23

The Troup Youth Association is preparing for the 2008 Baseball and Softball Summer League. Registration continues at the Troup Baseball/Softball Complex (Hwy. 135) on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The cost is $50 per player. Sibling discount for two players is $80 and three or more players is $100. Anyone interested in coaching can also register on the above dates as well.

New players must bring a copy of their official birth certificate to register.

Fees will be due at the time of sign up.

There are several age divisions for both boys and girls with practices set to begin over spring break, and games scheduled to start at the end of April.

Divisionsare: Instruc- tional T-ball (boys & girls), 4 years old; Competitive Tball, ages 5 and 6; Combopitch, ages 7 and 8; Lady Midgets and Senior Midgets (boys), ages 9 and 10; Freshman, ages 11 and 12; Sophomores (boys), ages 13 and 14; Junior (girls), ages 13 and 15.

Girls ages are as of Jan. 1, 2008 and boys April 30, 2008.
